So I was on the train this morning coming into work and a man got on with a digital camera. Before he got on the train, he was taking pictures of what seemed to be everything in the station. On the train, he also was taking pictures of the display and I guess the ceiling and the pole. I kinda rolled my eyes because I don’t like it when tourists take pictures of the inside of a subway car when it’s really busy. Not for me to judge though, that’s why I only kinda rolled my eyes =P
Anyway, I was fine with him taking pictures. But then this woman drinking a coffee goes up to him and asks “What are you taking pictures for?”. I couldn’t quite hear the man’s response, but I kept picking up pieces of what the woman was saying. “something something something, be careful with taking pictures”. “something something cops”. “something something problem with terrorism in the city”. “something something something watch out”. She seemed kinda bothered when she was saying this, but never rasing her voice really.
I can say that has never crossed my mind. Maybe I’m too trusting of people? To me, he just seemed like your average tourist. Some part of me thinks that the woman was being a little too helpful when she didnt need to be. But I can also she how she maybe just wanted to help to make sure he didn’t get in trouble. I don’t know, was it because he wasn’t white? I have no clue. Just thought I would write about it.

Failed Marriage Proposals
My friend showed me a failed marriage proposal video and I thought it was hilarious! I might be a bad person because of it, but I gathered as many failed marriage proposal videos (and audio clips) as I could find.
Enjoy =P

What food would you miss if you were in prison?
Pizza.
I remember in middle school where Tuesdays would be Dominos Day. I could only hope prision would be like that, except with real pizza because I think Dominos pizza is crap =)

Blogging
There are so many times when I open up this editor and try to think of something interesting to say. Most of the time, I get a sentence or two out, but end up just scrapping the post. Maybe I just don’t have enough to talk about? That’s totally untrue, there are millions of possible things I could talk about. Let me try this out. Ahem. This might just end up being a series of sentences that have no connection whatsoever.
I hate waking up really early in the morning. I swear no matter the temperature it is, I always feel really really cold. I’ve never woken up really early in the morning, stepped out of the shower and not felt cold.
I always see delivery trucks (UPS, DHL, FedEx) in the city parked on the streets with parking tickets. I wonder if that’s just how it works day to day for them. All the tickets they get may just be paid by their employer because it’s just cheaper to do it that way maybe? Who knows.
There are smudges on my monitor that have been bothering me, but I haven’t taken the time to clean them off. I’m always scared to clean LCD monitors because they have that matte finish soft screen.
I need to draw a cartoon for lefthandedtoons today. It has been a couple days. Hmm, I wonder what I’ll draw…
Cloverfield was totally awesome. But I have a feeling that only people who live in NYC or are at least decently familiar with it will get the full effect of the movie. And I saw it at a theater that didn’t have a bunch of silly kids talking during the entire thing! Bonus!
Hmm, I think that’s it for me for now. I guess I think in short paragraphs and not longer posts =P

What are five random facts about you?
1. Anytime I find tape, I need to tear off a piece and play with it.
2. I used to eat a normal sized container of ice cream (1.75 quarts) in two sittings. Now it’s three sittings.
3. I ate 5000 calories of food in one sitting for the 2007 Superbowl just because I wanted to.
4. I drove from Monroe, NY to Atlanta, GA (900 miles) in 13 hours and only stopped twice (for gas).
5. I’ve had my 1995 Saturn SL1 since high school and its still going. Almost at 90k miles now.

Do you ever get writer’s block? If you do, how do you deal with it?
In my free time, I do cartoons for Left-Handed Toons and also write music when I’m in the mood. Whenever I get writer’s block though, it really blows. Sometimes I’m stubborn and still try to come up with something cool, but that never works. What works best for me is when I hit that point where I can’t come up with anything, I just leave it be and do something else and come back later. For me, trying to overcome writer’s block is extemely frustrating and usually never yields good results.
It’s best for me to do things at the spur of the moment. If I have a random comic idea, I’ll write it down. If I all of a sudden feel like writing a song, I head on over to my guitar and start. Sitting down and trying to create something doesn’t work very well for me. Every once in a while it works, but that’s only when I feel inspired somehow or feel creative that day.

Language Testing and Messaging
You may have received a message from me about language testing and wondered “who is this?” =)
I’m actually a programmer at Xanga trying to get everyone ready for some changes we will be making. Here is the link to the test page just in case you wonder what I’m talking about: http://wwwuni.xanga.com/private/languagecheck.aspx.
If everything is readable on that test page, you’re all set!

Left-Handed Toons
A little over a week ago, my cartoon site got linked on the front page of a couple places such as Digg and Reddit. On one of the days, we got over 200,000 page views, which was pretty sweet. Only problem is that our traffic was crashing our web host’s server, so they restricted the number of connections we could get over 5 seconds. I had to strip down the site to almost nothing and remove all database queries to be safe. Ever since then, I’ve been really busy optimizing the page, trying to look for a new host, as well as other exciting ventures such as merchandise. Finding a new web hosting service sure can get complicated though. There are so many hosts out there and its really hard to find the best one from the group.
If you haven’t already checked out the site, maybe give it a go now. I enjoy doing it and hopefully others enjoy reading it as well =)

What’s On Your Windows Clipboard?
Here is the last item on my clipboard:
RecoverFromBackup
I was renaming an application in a couple places, so I copied this text so I wouldn’t have to keep typing it out. Very exciting stuff I must say =)
What was the last thing that you cut or copied? Just paste whatever it is into your comment and give a little explanation to help us out with the context.

Live Free or Die Hard comes out about two weeks for now and the MPAA still hasn’t released the rating. I will see the movie no matter what it’s rated, but I sure hope it rated R. I can’t imagine a Die Hard movie without swearing.
I’m watching the imdb message boards like a hawk just waiting for some new pieces of info. One theory on the board is that all this PG-13 or R talk was to build hype and the movie will be released under the originally intended R. I also hear that it was a couple execs from Warner Brothers on the grassy nole that shot Kennedy in order to make the movie JFK decades later. Those crafty movie execs =P
update:
Officially PG-13… I’ve been pwned.
