  • That one guy

This goes out to the singing homeless man that lives in the area where I live.  He doesn't ask for money and doesn't try to start conversations; all he does is sing.  And shake his arms in front of him.  If you remember the Simpsons episode with the crazy old man dancers, its like that.  Just that this man luckily does keep his pants on.

He sang me some Christmas songs once, which would seem seasonal, except that it was about 3 months ago.  Now I see him at least once a week in my subway station next to the man handing out the Metro newspaper.

He doesn't ask for money or have anything to collect the money, so I assume he's just a theatrical type of person just doing it to perform.  What a trooper.  Maybe one day some talent scout will find him and put him in a movie.  He will be forever typecast as the crazy homeless guy in all his movies, but he can sure sell the part.  Next time I see him, I'll tell him that if he just keeps working at it, he will be discovered.  He will then look at me and give everyone the best performance of 'Silent Night' the world has ever seen... Or he will just give me a confused look and continue singing whatever pops into his head at that moment.

I believe I digressed at some point, so I come back to my original point: Mr. Singing Homeless man, keep on rocking, but try not to make me feel awkward.
